As regards development of oil and gas fields, wells are drilled pursuant to exploration operations and oil and gas are produced. Mapna Group has now become a player in the area of drilling and implements offshore and onshore drilling operations under EPD scheme (Engineering, Procurement and Drilling).
 
Mapna has been assigned twelve drilling and exploration projects in Iran's southern oil rich regions. These projects which were launched in 2010 are still underway.

Mapna Group is in possession of an onshore drilling mast and plans are underway for the purchase of an offshore drilling mast in the near future.
