Development of oil and gas fields, which is categorized in the class of upstream industries, is one of the areas of activity of Mapna Group in this domain. Considering the volume of oil and gas reservoirs discovered and extractable in Iran, a suitable ground has been provided for participation of qualified Iranian companies in this national arena.
Carrying out these projects in Mapna Group takes place by Iranian engineers and through making use of our technical and management capacities in line with the policy of expansion of activities of Iranian companies in this infrastructure industry and local enablement.
Southern Pars Gas Field in the heart of Persian Gulf is the largest gas field in the world which has housed 47% of gas reservoirs of Iran equal to about 9% of the entire gas reservoirs of the world. Operation of this gas field is taking place jointly by Iran and Qatar. Iran has started definition and operation of 28 phases for development of this field since 2002.
One of our most important projects in oil and gas industry is our participation in the process of development of this field. Mapna Group undertook the development of phases 13 and 14 of Southern Pars Gas Field though a consortium in 2010 and their construction operations are now in progress.
In phase 13 of this field, process units including SRU, condensation of propane, solidification and storage of sulfur, reservoirs of propane and chemicals, utility and off-site units and in phase 14 process units including SWS, SRU, gas export station, measurement, solidification and storage of sulfur, chemical converter reservoirs, utility and off-site units will be constructed.
