During the recent years, there was specific attention to manufacture Power Plants equipment in Iran. In this regard, with respect to high potentials and resources for fabricating all types of equipment in Iran and also due to economical products manufactured in country along with short distance from factory to sites, it is justifiable to draw a plan for building different factories for main equipments of Power Plants in Country.
MAPNA has provided different subsidiaries in manufacturing the main equipment of Power Plants. The Products of these companies have come in the following.
1- Boiler
Use and upgrade the abilities, promote technical knowledge and improve quality of activities along with obtaining basic standard in the field of industrial management for fabricating boiler are the main reasons for foundation of MASBA, manufacturer of Boiler in Iran. Development in projects engineering in the fields of Design, installation, construction, commissioning and etc. are suitable motivations toward independency in industry.
The company in cooperation with well known international companies has provided required Boilers for MAPNA power projects in Iran. Masba attains the credibility to manufacture 60% of national HRSG supply by providing the 44 HRSGs for 8 combined cycle power projects in Iran and also specializes in Steam Generators, Utility Boilers, Industrial and Package Boilers.
The following results gained from this cooperation:
1. Good knowledge of international standard.
2. Familiarity with Iranian expertise in fabricating relevant equipment.
3. Good knowledge on capabilities of Iranian local manufacturers, getting the most benefits of their facilities and notify their deficiency by using updated and useful resolution.

5. Good capability in preparing required documents and certificates.
6. Capability in carrying out program of works, quality/inspection plan and expediting during projects execution period.
2- Turbine Blade
Turbine Blade Engineering and Manufacturing Co. (PARTO) aimed at Manufacturing heavy Industrial Gas Turbine Blade and Vanes via License agreement with Siemens for V94.2 Gas Turbine (159 MW), Know-how transfer and Re-Engineering for other Industrial Gas Turbines.
Main focus is to manufacture heavy duty industrial gas turbine Blades and Vanes ranges from 100 to 200 MW.
Over 14 types of Blades and Vanes for Gas Turbines in power ranges from 100 to 200 MW.
3-Power Generator
As one of the high-profile ministries in Iran, the Ministry of Energy has developed comprehensive plans in line with the macro-policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran to attain industrial self-sufficiency and modern technology in the electrical industries
One of the phases of this plan was manufacturing of hydroelectric and thermal generators. Feasibility studies went under way, which were accompanied by the equipment of the workshops and procurement of machineries required for power generator industry.
Enjoying a skilled work-force of 850 who have received training in Germany, Austria, Brazil and Italy and backed by great potential and capabilities is currently handling numerous projects.
Pursuant to new policies, Pars Generator Company established.
The general objective sought by the setup of the company was to manufacture thermal and hydroelectric power generators. Nevertheless, taking into account the contract signed with Ansaldo, priority has been given to manufacturing of gas turbine power generators.
Pars Generator company benefits from the cooperation with international manufacturers of power generators such as Siemens, Ellin, Anslado, General Electric and Alsthom. Other contractors working with company are: Hepco, Arak Machine Mfg. Co., Iran Radiator Co., Tabriz Tractor Manufacturing Co., Tabadol Kar, Mechanical Industries, Azarab, Sahand Poolad, Haddid, Mashhad Part Mfg. Co., Merat Poolad, and Saddid.
4- Gas Turbine
Mapna Gas Turbine company (TUGA) as MAPNA (Iran Power Plant Management Company) subsidiary was established in 1999 and shares experience and technology with Ansaldo Energia-Italy as well as Siemens power generation to bring all engineering, manufacturing, contracting and services activity in the power generation field.
The company is based in Tehran and has manufacturing facilities for production of 12 Gas Turbine V94.2 and all other Turbine off base equipment together with qualified sub-supplier.
An extension for factory is to produce Steam Turbines modules E and KN types up to 250 MW for combined cycle power plant under Siemens power generation license as well as I&C system which is already started.
